The recent hacks of celebrity photos have once again raised security and privacy concerns around sharing and storing files in the cloud. While celebrities might opt out of the cloud, businesses must find a secure way to share information and files to remain competitive and collaborative.
Not all business data can be housed in the cloud due to privacy, regulatory and performance reasons. As a result the majority of cloud and file-sharing apps are not enterprise-ready because they lack proper security and compliance protocols. Only 39% of all business data will ever make it to the cloud, while the rest will always need to stay on premises.
